About Frederick Achom
Entrepreneur Frederick Achom is chairman of the Rosemont Group of Companies, a privately owned Holding company he founded in 2003. The company based in the British Virgin Islands, with investments in luxury consumer products and services, UK land and property development. Rosemont Group of Companies also has investments in high end Italian kitchens, overseas property consulting and investments, marketing and sales, telecom sales in western Africa, exclusive members-only clubs and up-scale restaurants. A self confessed ‘serial investor’ his Rosemont Group has recently acquired a large share of a major Australian winery, he owns 38 percent in the UK based Property Clinic and is in talks to acquire an English restaurant chain which he intends to re-launch globally. With the support of some of Hollywood's biggest names, Achom is also launching a new restaurants concept in the Los Angeles in 2011. In addition, he recently opened a French-style brasserie in London's Battersea Square. The seafood restaurant boasts a 90-seat marble topped brass oyster bar, a British patio garden with tables and chairs and an attached shop that sells fine wines, special cheeses, fresh produce and cut flowers. The sustainable food used to prepare dishes in the restaurant or sold in the store is all locally farmed in the British Isles.
Background
Born in Nigeria, Frederick Achom was educated privately in England. After completing his studies, he returned to Nigeria to fulfill his dream of becoming a doctor. A year and a half later, giving up his studies he returned to London to seek his fortune. Working for various city firms, first as a junior surveyor and then as a financial sales consultant. During this period he acquired the attributes, knowledge and experience he needed to strike out on his own. His first major success was the sale of his business development and consultancy agency City Business Partners to London city firm EGC.
Achom considers himself a leader, not a follower, and relies on his personal flair for the inspiration for his ability to deliver high end goods & services to even the most demanding of customers. Achom attributes his success to the fact that he has his “feet on the ground”, is always original and never neglects quality. Although he is now a true "jet setter", he keeps his life under control by extensive and precise planning and by working with dependable partners whom he can rely on for help. With homes, offices and real estate holdings scattered throughout several continents, he is constantly commuting between meetings and important engagements.
In 2005 Achom’s Rosemont Group joined forces with Lebanese based Circle Management Group to create and launch Crystal members club in London. As a first foray into the entertainment business, the venture was hugely successful, opening in St Tropez, Lebanon, Dubai, Los Angeles and Beijing.

As in 2010, Frederick Achom has made it again to the London Evening Standard’s list of 1000 most prominent people in London for 2011. Originally from Nigeria, the entrepreneur’s success as an outstanding businessman, earned him his place on the listing. The Powerlist was originally launched in order to distinguish and inspire energetic black coloured citizens and to keep the black community’s champions in the media spotlight. The list includes the selection of 100 certified persons and names high up on the list in the 2012 edition are numerous well known frontrunners with the inclusion of various new young stars also making their mention.
